WoW or GW?

what MMORPG do u guys enjoy more? and why? or if you havn't played any, which sounds better for ya?

For me, i'd have to say GW.. the fact that many mmorpg's (including WoW) are mainly hours of lvling.. and at the end of the day the person who has wasted enough hours of his life is basicly the strongest? lol.

GuildWars however max lvl is only 20 and its mainly a pvp/gvg/pve type of game, with many quests. I like the fact that it doesnt let those people who spend hours lvling become the strongest, the strongest in guildwars are those who are skilled in fighting :p by using the correct skills at the correct time

Yeah, exactly. It's just a waste of time and energy, and I find no enjoyment in just leveling up and doing stupid quests.

I don't really know GW (meaning: I haven't played it), so I think I'll just say Pac-man.

The only MMORPG I have played is Ragnarok... and I enjoyed it... However I don't like monthly fee's...

I might check out Guild Wars though.

I have played both WOW and GW and they are kind of both the same, except the fact that GW is free.

I was wondering too. Is it 100% free or what? Because it doesn't look like a free game.

Anyway, the worst thing that can happen is that it bores the hell outta me and I stop playing, so there's nothing to lose.

It's not free at all, you have to pay for the game, however, it is without monthly fees.

Quake 1 over LAN is the shit.

...Alright, I'm not saying MMORPGs all suck horribly, but most of them are basically utilizing the wonderful gameplay method of "go and hack/slash/blast everything up". Which is an ideal method to waste time, but isn't really all that fun. I don't see the challange there.

WoW is the better of the 2 IMO, but neither are really that great. Too bad you can't go back in time. The original Everquest back before SOE took over was a great experience. Then Sony had to ruin it by forming SOE and all the good developers from verant left. The EQ of today is not really anything like how it originally was intended. Now Sony just continues to whore it out and wonders why it continues to lose subscribers and EQ2 is nothing, but shit.
