Default Can't get a game to run on PS2 (runs in Epsxe)

I downloaded a gundam fighting game
Simple Characters 2000 Series #12 - Kidou Butouden G Gundam - The Battle
    sometime ago.
I burned this exactly like my other images just with Alcohol 120% at lowest Speed possible (which is 4x). Anyway despite the gamecd boots up and is playable on the emulator, it won't work on my modded PS2. It just get's to the browser screen, showing me there's a Cd-Rom but it won't start the game.
Oddly, I also have problems with Gundam Battle Assault 2. This boots up, but after starting a new game it won't load further. Epsxe plays it without problems.

Any idea what the problem could be? Cdmage shows one corrupted Sector, and I can't fix it. But why does it work in the Emulator then?

Because ePSXe can handle errors beter than a PSX or PS2

Is it just a matter of Error-correction? I thought the Ps2 would at least struggle to read the images, but there's not even an attempt to do it. My model can handle CDRW, I thought that was evidence the laser isn't exactly the worst. Guess I dig up my old modded PSX and see if it works there.

The PS2 and PSX just can't handle as much as ePSXe can for errors no mater how good your laser is

I wasn't trying to say there was something wrong with your PS2
