Everytime I start a new game and try the practice battle with the guy at the shore, the game window/emulator closes down sooner or later during the battle. If I try epsxe1.52 some of the sounds during the battle can't be heard and those are probably the best parts to hear the sounds lol. I also have chrono cross and I'm trying to get one emulator to work with all my rpgs, instead of having different emulator for different games.

I have tried playing it again, I used about a lot of different plugins for this but I keep getting the window closed during the practice battle. This is what the emulator says after the game window closes down:

ePSXe 1.5.2 will do the trick as it works with almost all of the games I have
some other need ePSXe 1.6.0 or cheat codes to be fully playable.
But it's good to keep some versions of emulators just in case, cause you
must remember that emulation is slightly different than using actual PSX

For example Yu-Gi-Oh and Wild Arms II will work only on ePSXe 1.6.0 and
Final Fantasy IX will crash on ePSXe 1.6.0 and is fully playable in ePSXe 1.5.2.

As for the games you have mentioned ePSXe 1.5.2 will be the best
You're saying about lack of sound in ePSXe, yes??
Go to "Config->Sound" Menu and see if the first three checkboxes here are
checked (enable sound, enable CDDA sound, enable XA sound).
For the sound plugin try "Eternal SPU 1.41" as it provides some fixes
for Square games. (this goes for chronocross casue I didn't have sound
problems while playing legend of legaia).

For graphics plugin I'll recommend "Pete's OpenGL 1.75" for those games
and don't forget to set them up by enabling special game fix (Odd/even bit hack).

That should fix your problems

This is odd, I played legend of legaia perfectly with ePSXe 1.60, with the P.E.OPs 1.16 (I think thats the name) graphics plug-in and got by that part, but try MegaVolt's suggesstion, that may help much.

psxeven doesn't play legend of legaia correctly, but epsxe does work fine now. I didn't have those sound boxes checked and when I did check them it worked perfectly. I also have chrono cross and that doesn't work with epsxe1.6 so that's why I didn't have that version, but everything is good now, thanks
