Been looking for bands similar to Rammstein, and have found a group called Megaherz.
Downloaded a video called Freiflug & listened to a few samples on their website and on the strength of what i've heard so far i am impressed. Has anyone else got any opinions on megaherz or any band similar to Rammstein i would be interested to hear them.

There was this Finnish industrial metal band... I forgot their name, but they were like a better version of Rammstein. I usually keep away from metal that has electronic aspects in the music nowadays...

Peter, here are some good new recently released CD's that are worth your money:

Arsis - A Celebration of Guilt
    Behemoth - Demigod
Nile - Annhialation of the Wicked
Morbid Angel - the best hits that was just released, but I suggest buying all of their albums if you already have a gist of who they are.
Bruce Dickinson - Tyranny of Souls
Behemoth - Slaves Shall Serve EP(comes out soon)
Megadeth - Blackmail the Universe or any of their remasters(unless you can find the original old CD's)
Kreator - Enemy of God(get this, fo' shizzle)
Exodus - Tempo of the Damned, Shovel Headed Killing Machine
Obituary - Frozen in Time(if you like them only, otherwise no real need to get this, get "Cause of Death")
Decrepit Birth - And Time Begins
    Helloween - their upcoming CD.
    Sodom - their upcoming CD.
    Dark Tranquillity - Character.
Wintersun - Wintersun(a MUST if you like Ensiferum, Norther or CoB)
    Ensiferum - Iron
Amon Amarth - Versus the World(not new, really)
Therion - Lemuria and Sirius B.

That's some stuff you should check out this year(some came out last year). Get a copy of Morbid Angel's "Altars of Madness" and watch how the album will grow on you. It's so damned solid. Also check out "Covenant", "Blessed Are the Sick", and "Formulas Fatal to the Flesh".

You should also own a copy of Bathory's "Blood Fire Death" and "Hammerheart".

Oh boy, guess what I'm going to do with all that extra financial aid I'm getting for college. I'm getting like... $1600 in grant money left over after paying my tuition bill(meaning it's not borrowed) every semester. So like... $300 for books n' shiz, $300 for transport, $200 for clothes, and around $800 to fuck around with. I'm so damned poor I'm actually being PAID to go to college.

The reason why I sometimes delete my posts is that I have this crazy idea that the more posts I have will slow down the speed of my internet and possibly slow down the forums here... but since there are thousands, I will stop that. I am an idiot.
    btw,
    Wintersun - Wintersun OWNS!

I've been listneing to that album for like half a year straight. One of my favourites.
    They're all like BEEE-O-BBEOOWTWABOTEEE!!BEE-TEE-OBOBA-GEEGEEGEERO!!!!!!! etc...
I was trying to imitate the intruments there btw. Best song is Battle Against Time, along with Sleeping Stars.
Although they're not quite as good as Hulkbreed. You can tell I'm in love with them. Me and my friends always make jokes about having sex with the Hulkster, then he joins a hardcore band. How sweet is that. The pictures were hilarious.
Edit: Sorry for always being off topic. My mind works that way. Like while I was talking to this girl a few days ago, I eventually talked about molesting children then she thought I was weird. I told her she was next (she was 9). They always laugh at me whenever I say something about being a necrophiliac/child molestor!

Again, how's that story relevent to this thread? I suggest you tone it down, as it's really getting annoying.

What is wrong with this kid?

I'm wondering now: how many of you actually headbang to the music? I don't mean some half-assed headbobbing, but some migrane-inducing spinal cord-damaging headbanging. What bands/songs make headbanging irresistable? Some involuntary headbanging tracks for me would would be:

    Dismember - Misanthropic
    Amon Amarth - Almost anything.
Lamb of God - the fast breakdown in "11th Hour"
    Megadeth - Mostly old shit
Bathory - Blood Fire Death, One Rode to Asa Bay
Suffocation - Catatonia, Liege of Inveracity
    Vader - Cold Demons
The Black Dahlia Murder - Funeral Thirst.
    Wormed - anything
Behemoth - anything beyond the "Grom" album and "From the Pagan Vastlands".
Immortal - Most songs off "Damned in Black".
In Flames - Gyroscope, Only for the Weak, Episode 666
    Kreator - Flag of Hate
    Decapitated - Absolutely anything.
    Finntroll - Jaktens Tid
Cannibal Corpse - Hammer Smashed Face
Deicide - Most of the self titled and "Legion", and of course "Scars of the Crucifix"(just that song).
    Morbid Angel - Summoning Redemption.
Death - Scream Bloody Gore, Crystal Mountain.
    Sepultura - Most old shit

They just "feel right" to headbang to. Some bands can really kick ass, but sometimes they lack the headbanging factor. Like, I couldn't possibly headbang to a lot of black metal or something like Motrhead or Iron Maiden.

I usually regret headbanging when my neck becomes sore and tired for a few days and my hair gets tangled as fuck, but it sure was great whilst listening to it. The pain and the lack of good hearing for a few days after a concert serves as a reminder of how intense metal is.

Can't wait to hear FS' report on the Maiden show. I'll be sure to keep y'all informed on Napalm Death and Obituary's performance next Tuesday should I survive.
