Eh? Wasn't .hack project's aim is to create an offline MMORPG? I think Bandai said in more than one interview that they intend to keep .hack an offline game.

    EDIT
A Google search doesn't yield worthwhile results. Seems like an abandoned project.

Thanks for making me look like an idiot, crusher.

But hey, that sounds interesting. I wonder what else you can do with the PS2/PC connection.

    Always a pleasure.

I'd love to setup my own server sometime. An EP server would be nice.

expect to see me there, chuck. I always hated MMORPGs, but DotHack didn't overcomplicate it like, say, EQ or UO--Nice and simple and yet still immersive. Can't freaking wait.

I'm perfectly aware that I make people sick.

that's great to hear I just hope they can make a good plot and play style for it because if they just did an online version with similar gameplay to the offline games I don't think it would work very well. Great to know now 2 .Hack games will be coming in the future when I didn't think we'd ever see more of the series after the poor sales of the later chapters of the last games. I loved Infection, mutation, outbreak and quarintine and have around 250 hours logged on the games.

The gameplay is the .Hack games is pretty darn boring agree. But the storyline and the Phases are enough reason to play it. Atleast for me.

Nuro and crusher, I respectfully disagree, I liked that it was nice and simple, no reason to complicate things, but if it ain't your cup of tea then that's all that really matters, considering it's entertainment and quality is utterly subjective .

I'm perfectly aware that I make people sick.

Woo, slow down there lad, .Hack is "my cup of tea". I love the games but one just can't deny that the gameplay is well, craptacular?

They could've made it slighly more deep. And the random dungeons piss me off...

Hmm? The artical crusher posted above mentions the game won't use the HDD, just the network adapter. It'll hook up to the internet via your PC (for free!) and use it to store some stuff.
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

Yea, but my model PS2 is the first JP model, and you need the external HDD, there is no seperate network adapter.
