Default Can a stereo play CDRWs?

I want my stereo to play a CDRW with audio files on it. Is there any way of doing this?

when you burn the music on to a CD, the burner app you are using should ask you if you want to make an audio CD. if you need a burner, i recommend deepburner.. its free and that's what i use. is you need further instructions just let me know

It all depends on the stereo, but most can.

Many newer stereos can play MP3 CDs. Mine can. My uncle's will be able to. A friend of mine has a Walkman that can play them. It's really just how new the steroe is. Almost ALL stereos can play burned CDs effortlessly.

I think you guys are ignoring the fact that he said CDRW's... I have never used a stereo that is compatible with RW's with the exception of a brand new 5-DVD/CD changer multi-media home theater thing, which can play just about anything you can throw at it. Any stereo can read CD-R's, but RW-compatible stuff is harder to come by.

Yeah, my stereo can play cdr's good, but doesn't accept cdrw's. is there any special way to burn the disc so it'll be able to play?

Nope, it all comes down to CDRW's physical characteristics. Same way you can't burn a DVD-R to play it on a regular CD player.

I havnt tried it with many CD players, but my portable CD player works with RWs (although it skips on occasion, maybe lower reflectivity than cd-r?)

But I wouldn't bet on a player supporting RW disks.

I've tried CDRW's on several new stereo's and several CD-drives... if it does not say it's compatible, it won't read anything at all. I've heard that it's possible to tweak a small screw in a Sega Saturn's laser module, making it able to read CD-RW's(but also reducing the system's lifetime)...

You gotta know what you are doing when you pot tweak stuff Theres safe ranges that wont effect your systems life.
