Ore No Ryori(PSX) controller problem

Hi, i downloaded this cooking game Ore No Ryori from ysi recently, it looks fun and seems to work fine but i cant press start at the main menu this happend the same in ePSXe and Pcsxbox. i read on these forums that you need a special controller to play this...is that my problem? anyway around it? any help is wicked,

You need to configure the pad in ePSXe...

Config > Game Pad > Pad 1

...then in the top right corner you need to select Digital/Analog (F5)

That should do it

Yep, and you must also use a dual-shock controller. Enjoy Ore no Ryomi, there's an English fan remake around on the web .

That's the same problem I had. Richardstone helped me too.

albrowne - sorry to bring this up but I can't stop noticing that you refer to the game as Ore no Ryomi...Not to sound like an ass but it's Ryori (which is translated to cooking).
