    Default going retro

hey i was just wondering if anyone here knows
    1) how to make vinyl records
    2) where one can get a lathe
    3) well i guess that's it...but the lathe needs to be able to like hook up to a cd player or a rca composite sterio...(you know like the playstation cables...)

8track was like the precursor to a cassette tape wasn't it?

I guess, I just don't see what the benefit to pressing your own CDs is...Unless you're making a bunch...and then the equipment won't be worth it.

+1 rep. I love my Iriver.

8 tracks were the precurser to the cassete tape. They looked like big cartridges. There were 4 different "channels" that you could select. Each one had a variety of songs on it. The name 8 track came from the 4 "channels" in stereo. 4*2=8 They were also neat in the fact that the way the tape was put in one it didn't need to be rewound. It played continuously.

I myself have a TON of 8tracks, but can't find a picture of one of mine right now. Here is a quick on on the internet.
