I second that. However whenever i hear any SMB, Zelda or Megaman music I can't help it I have to make small anoying noises that goes with the rythm.

I love the music in Final Fantasy VIII. It would be followed by Final Fantasy VII.

Hey I forgot about CSOTN. That remixed songs were delicious.
I also remember every sonic 1 music. That game was perfect.

Chrono Trigger - the best game with best music off all times!
Medievil 1 - great Measdle Ages arranged music.
Zone of The Enders 1 - nice mix of industrial with native japanese tunes.

I think Yoko Shimomura did a wonderful job with the Kingdom Hearts soundtrack, so yeah, I'm inclined to say that it's my favourite soundtrack. Other than that, an honorable mention goes to Mitsuda for his work on the Chrono and Xeno soundtracks.

Vagrant Story had the most athmospheric music I've ever heard. Fits nicely with the overall feel of the game.
However, the soundtrack of Guardian Heroes was simply brilliant. It cannot be compared to anything else.

I love almost all Final Fantasy-soundtracks, especially the Final Fantasy VII-soundtrack awesome shit. Sonic The Hedgehog, Herzog Zwei, Chrono Trigger, Kingdom Hearts and the Metal Gear Solid-games has pretty good music.

Guardian Heroes OST all the way. Also, Valkyrie Profile with its perfect battle music, the MGS2 main theme, and of course, One Winged Angel from FFVII.
