    Default School firewalls

Im not sure if this is the right place to post this but:

I have a problem. My internet connection is College LAN but my school has a built-in firewalls that blocks certain sites ( mainly Newgrounds.com)

Does anyone know a way to bypass this?

I believe if you could create an SSH tunnel to a computer outside of the campus network and route all traffic through there you'd get around it (doing it is another story).

Are you pretty much saying to use a proxy?

I really don't have much experience with proxies. But if that would work it might be a good option.

I was just saying he could tunnel his traffic through SSH, and then he wouldn't have to worry about stuff getting blocked.

    You've already given up? That's a shame.

If you can bring firefox in on a flashdisk or even download it and install to your user area at college, then you can use the proxy option and put the IP address of some public proxy in there.

Unfortunately I think obvious ones like megaproxy.com are blocked by most places, but if you are willing to search for some more obscure proxies then you can access any site you wish to from school.

    Try: http://ice.citizenlab.org/projects/phproxy/

It works with my school at least.
