Default Metal Gear Solid, disc change problem

    Hi all

I have a problem with Metal Gear Solid for psx.
Im playing it in my ps2 and I recently got to the place
where I should change to disc 2.

Well, I inserted it and of course it said it was the wrong disc.
So I downloaded a new disc 2, same problem.

The second disc works fine when booting from it, I tried to load my
save file and it asked for disc 1. Same problem here, wrong disc.

So what am I supposed to do ?

Yeah thats a correct matching set so I don't know why it doesn't let you change from CD1 to CD2..

Do you know if you have the latest version of the Firmware for your chip?

You might want to look at http://www.infinitymod.com/cgi-bin/matrix/site.pl to get the newest Firmware

This is about as far as I can go in the way of helping you as I don't have a modchip in my PS2 or a working PS2 lol, I so need a new one

I think your burn is perfect it's the chip thats at fault this time.

If you can transfure a save to your PC I would be able to help you though, but I guess you would have already done that if you could.

I have the GameCube version of it, thats very nice and upgrades the game system to that of MetalGear Solid 2

You could get a chipped PSone aswell as the PS2's PSX emulator isn't compatable with all PSX games.

You can play it through a PC PSX emulator aswell, if you have such a low spec PC that ePSXe isn't worth running then CVGS is a good alternative to use as it's not as system hungry

Actually it works now, and it was the chip's fault.

I tried it in my old PS2 with a Messiah 2 Pro that i thought was broken,
and after about 20 tries CD1 finally worked, the disc change went
well at the first try. Saved the game on CD2, and now it works fine
when loading the game from my PS2 with Matrix Infinity.
