    No. No you can't.

Look, if you have a PSOne Gameshark, or any PSOne bootdisk for that matter, you can use it to load up PSOne games on your PS2.

I'm assuming you have the slide card, am I right? If so, then you simply pop in your Gameshark or Action-Replay, then when the program loads up, you choose the option to start the game without codes. At this point, you'll be prompted to pop in your PSOne game. Use your slide card to open up the PS2, and replace the GS/AR with your PSOne backup. Close the system up with your slide card, then press X. You may need to press it a couple of times to confirm, but after you've done that, the game will load, no problems.

I just remembered that I wrote up an FAQ on this awhile back. I'll find the link to it and update this post. Or not. Anyway, if you have any further questions, let me know.

Dude, PSOne Gameshark's and Action Replay's go for so little these days. You really should try and see if you can't just track one down. If you play alot of PSOne, it's worth it.

If you have a V9 PS2, then there's a bug in the firmware that will allow you to boot PSone games using one of the various different programs that can launch programs from the memory card.

Aside from that, you'll need a Gameshark or something similar, as someone said above.
