    Default Metal Gear trailers discussion thread

    So E3 is here and Metal Gear is once again the highlight (for me) of the show. Beacause I'm a nice guy, I download the new Metal Gear trailer streams and uploaded to to YSI.

    Let's discuss the trailers here. Unnecessary to fill the E3 thread with Metal Gear talk. I've made all the information about each game hidde as some people might want to check the trailers themselves to see the information. I highly recommend everyone to see the MGS4 "trailer". It was damn funny.

    Note to Cyber: This isn't a E3 news thread. It's a discussion thread about Metal Gear. Don't you dare close this!

    Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence
    * Controllable 3rd person camera.
    * All the PAL extras included.
    * Online Battle Mode.
    * Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake will be included!

    Metal Gear Acid 2
    * Cellshaded graphics.
    * Once again card based.
    * Revolver Ocelot makes an appearance.
    (Not much else to mention )

    Metal Gear Solid 4
    * Solid Snake IS the main character.
    * Vamp, Ocelot, Raiden, Meryl and Snake are confirmed for the game.
    * Raiden is carrying a baby/puppet/something on the teaser poster.
    * The game will take place some time after MGS2.
    * Hide Kojima will be in charge of game design, production, and direction.
    * The other director is Shuyo Murata (Zone of the Enders: the 2nd Runner).
    * Yoji Shinkawa will once again be the art director.
    * The "trailer" is currently running on the MGS3 engine, but that will change in the future.
    * In-game footage will be shown at next E3.

    Too bad you will have to wait until E3 2008 to see any in game screenshots of MGS 4.

    Nope. It's already confirmed to be shown at next E3.

    Whatever. :eyeball:

    I have to say that getting both Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 is reason enough to buy MGS3: Subsistence. And online play sounds sexy.

    No problem Cookie Monster. You'll love the MGS4 trailer.

    And yes it certainly is good news. He just can't stay away from his child.

    Hmm, I've always told myself to stay away from a MGS3: Substience (not Substance?) if it was going to be released, but since it includes MG1 and 2, I pretty much "have to" buy it. I don't care for MGA2 as I don't have a PSP, and I'm downloading the MGS4-trailer now...

    Subsistence, not Substance. And indeed, MG and MG2 are reasons enough to buy Subsistence. Can't wait! ^^

    Who's the man on the far right with a patch over his eyes? Is it... not, it couldn't be Big Boss, could it?

    After watching the MGS4 trailer, I can honestly say Hideo reassures us he's a mad man. He refuses to let go of his weird humour and plotting schemes, and there's my reason to buy the PS3.

    It's possible Howie! :O That's what people believes anyways... I guess we might get some new info at ECTS or TGS. Hopefully.

    And you are right Megalith. That trailer was completely mad. I love Hideo Kojima's humour though.

    Well, Grey Fox "came back", so why not Big Boss too?
