Well Im sure they serve some use... Port's or decorative Port covers... the really question is port's for what...

Or is it just a really goofy looking decorative feature...

The consoles are ugly....Just like Bill himself . I wonder what GFX unit this beast is packing.

From what I read a while ago, the grafx are supposed to be ATI (bleh, nVidia is better IMO). nVidia didn't want to make stuff for the new XBOX because they felt "lukewarm" about the whole thing, and considering all the stuff that can go wrong with an XBOX (and usually does might I add) I don't blame them for passing on the deal. The pic shows the new XBOX standing up, and this is the first time I have seen it that way. Other pix I saw showed it lying down. I have also seen another design which showed a circular handle on it, which made sense when you think about the "360" part of the name. More than likely the name will change when it is finally released, but I still won't buy one. I already learned my lesson when asking for an XBOX for Christmas, only to get it and have it break down right away after hardly any use.

Why would you use the powerbutton as a wireless reciver... that's just silly... It does not even have to have a button and can be built into a internal circuit.
    Those are memory card slots

Lovely specs there mate, every day my anticipation grows. Any more news on the Perfect Dark rumours? I'd cream my pants if that was true.

Bah that system is realy ugly. Wireless controllers cool though. I don't like the color either. I think the Xbox looks way better.

Who even said that those are even ports? Though if they are, you might want to consider the possibility that the area hides the systems three USB 2.0 ports. Perhaps there's a little slider that you can move, that exposes the ports when you're ready to use them. I dunno. It's conjecture to be sure, but I'd like to think that the USB ports would be on the front of the system, and as I can't see them anywhere else, I guess that would be as good a place as any for them.

Well I highly doubt that those are controler ports... that would be stupid... and the 360 uses Wireless controlers...

However we have been down this path before, and decided that thos are most likely USB ports... which unless I am mistaken USB ports count as ports. Of course with M$ it's hard to tell sometimes... it could just be a goofy looking decoration.

I didn't say they're controller ports, nor would I, being fully aware of the fact that the XBox 360 is intended to use wireless controllers.

I'd guess that the bottom ports are for charging the controller.
