Question Help: How to switch discs in MR2

Hey, guys! I have a brief question for you, if I may.

On ePSX, I am playing Monster Rancher 2 (my own copy, not an ISO). There is an option to "Shrine" monsters, meaning that you insert an audio, PS1, etc. CD, and a monster is generated. When I try this with ePSX, however, it refuses to recognize the MR2 disc once I reinsert it!

Am I missing something? Please help! Thanks in advance.

No I don't think you are... I just don't think that ePSXe can do the Monster Rancher "Shrine" thing.

I could be wrong though... because i have never tryed myself.

Someone might have gotten it to work.

Are you hitting escape and then clicking "File", then "Change Disc"?

Whether you are or aren't, try doing the opposite. You may also want to consider ripping the cd and trying to do it virtually. (Either on it's own or mounted-daemon's tools works wel for that)

    EDIT 1
For the record, I've never even played a monster rancher game and only have very general knowledge of how that feature works.

I've never played one either, but I remember reading somewhere that you need to use either Connectix VGS or Bleem! to do the shrine.

I'm sure when you tell epsxe that your switching discs it's looking for a psx game not an audio cd and won't load it correctly.

For people who don't know with the shrine part of Monster Rancher you can put an audio cd in (or really any cd it doesn't have to be audio) and the game will read the audio cds unique code and create a new monster for you to raise. The game has some secret monsters unlockable only by placing the right audio cd in.

Thanks, guys! It works if, after replacing the MR2 CD, I select "Change CD-ROM". Muchos gracias for the assistance.
