Default Xbox 360: More Pictures Surface:

Xbox 360 Design? - confirmed by Engadget Sources *updated*
    >> From engadget:
All right, after many a false sighting and tons of sketchy pics (the Xbox 360 was starting to give the Virgin Mary a run for her money), our sources are confirming that this is really it.

    *Update* From TeamXbox.com:
We believe this is indeed the design that will be show next month at E3. That doesn’t mean it will be the final design that will ship later this year but you can bet it won’t be much different.
By the size of the disc tray we can conclude the Xbox 360 is much smaller than the current Xbox. You might wonder why is that power button so big? Well, because it does much more than indicating the console's power status...
    News-Source: engadget, gizmodo.com and TeamXbox.com.

The First one is an optomized image. Second 2 originate from ourcolony.net i believe, showing off the harddrive slot. There are slight differences between the bottom 2 and the top, but its clearly based all on the same unit. Quite iinteresting

Just going off the prototype, it looks like the controllers lost 2 buttons. And if that white circle in the middle is a button then it lost 1. Unless there are shoulder buttons / triggers or what not I didn't notice, and won't go back to look at.

    Looks incredibly cool.
But i always wonder, if these pics aren't faked pics, why do the guy that took them couldn't make a decent shot? Hell we can't see the whole console in any of these pics.

Well, I believe all these pictures, except the first and the last (the ones that look normal) were meant to be somewhat teasers. Sort of in kin to the whole ilovebees type thing, I forget the website for this but it is very much based of that (the URL deals with colony and replaces bees with ants).

    Anyhoo, E3 should be interesting.

ourcolony.net is the source of the 2 smaller pictures. The top one is from god knows where, but every place is confirming it, and it fits in with the 2 released by ourcolony.

There are 2 additional shoulder buttons on the controllers.

True, the machine looks great as it is now, I have no problem with it. Maybe the controller's design is a bit strange, but I don't really care, that's only a little thing.

Theres a whole theory behind the 360 name, one of them being about Nintendo's Revolution and how its going....wait until e3, thats all i got to say hehe.

Xbox 360 hits Sony and Nintendo, since Nintendos Revolution meaning it does a 360 and Sony PS3 So Xbox doesnt sound inferior to PS3 so they put a 3 in there to keep up.

You lost me with the PS3 thing...

I can see how could be playing off the Revolution name by calling it the 360... not really because one Revolution is a Year, not 360 degrees... that would be one rotation...if that is the true reason then it's quite funny that Microsoft does not know the diffrence between one Revolution and one Rotation.

A revolution is also a word for turning completely. and what i meant by the PS3 thing is since this is the second Xbox it would sound bad to "the average consumer" to have it called the Xbox 2 when there is the Playstation 3 it sounds superior so starting the xbox with Xbox 3sixty it makes it look like the third edition its just like a subliminal advertising thing

It looks pretty sleak. The controls looks weird. It's just... weird shaped; and it does look like it lost two of its buttons.
