valyrie profile help

The game works completely fine until I first see freya in the beginning secuence.
At the point where freya tells valkyrie to stand the game ceases to progress.
Freya continues floating up and down, and im capable of seeing the text menu.
Anyone know anything?

Are you using emulator or actual PSX?
If you're using emulator then what emu are you using and what version of it??
You should also post your GPU, SPU plugin specs.

Sorry for double posting...

(I dont think it is a graphic or audio plugin issue, since ive tried many with various configurations and it all results in the game not allowing me to progress.
This is becoming frustrating rather quickly)

Hmm. your config seems allright.

Try this.
Go to your GPU settings:
If yoy're using 2xSai or other strething method set it to "Stretch to full window size."
Try disabling Dithering if you have it setted.
Also disable Scanlines in your GPU settings.
There is newer version of GPU plugin you're currently
using P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.16 try this one as well.
You may as well try other emus like ePSXe 1.6.0 or PSXeven...

I'm currently downloading this game so if my sugestions won't
work you may post your memcard from this game and after
I finish downloading the game I'll test it myself.

Ok tried all that.
But still no luck.
I believe it may be an issue with the iso, since no matter what I try with any configuration or variety of plugins nothing changes.
Is it possible that the file was damaged or corrupt?

Can you post your FULL video(GPU) settings?
Post your CPU specs as well.

I just use the default "Fast" settings with the graphics plugin.
However I don't allow frame skipping.

(Note: this computer aint the greatest)

pentium(r) III processor
64 ram
32mb Generic Video card

Is this enough info?

Hmm. I've tested the game and it's working good for me...
Did you get the ISO from EP roms section??

You might have problems with this game due to your PC specs
either due to ISO corruption.

I have one more question though. How do you run this game:
from CD, from mounted ISO or through "File->RunISO" option???

Cause it's recomended that you run this game from mounted ISO.
Use "Daemon Tools" for it, set your CDR plugin to run games from
virtual drive and run the game using "File->RunCDROM" option.

BTW: Plugins I used for this game:
SPU: Eternal SPU 1.41
GPU: P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.16
CDR: SaPu's CD-ROM Plugin 1.0

Using Eternal 1.4.1,
Use SPUasync, Smooth with a buffer of 128~192~256.

OK tried all that too.

But still nothing.

I've come to the conclusion it must be an issue with the iso (from EP).
So im attempting to download a different one.

I'll let ya know how it turns out.

I've downloaded mine from EP too and it's working perfectly.
Tell me when you want this save to be taken and I'll send you
ePSXe save format via Yousendit and post you the link.

Actually given your PC specs, I can tell that your PC is pretty slow for full PSX emulation.
What I need now is your FULL (YES, I MEAN IT!) plugin configs settings and such.

In regards to that specific problem, I've found that the game likes to lock up if you load state in the middle of a scene with streamed audio. I had no problems at all with Valkyrie Profile in ePSXe 1.6.0 until the ending sequence for the A ending, because I saved state in the middle of it, and then quit to get dinner. Loaded it back up, and while the audio track that I save in the middle of played fine, the game wouldn't load up any further voice tracks without a lot of effort, and because of this, the game wouldn't advance the scene anymore. Luckily, I had a memory card save just before the whole sequence starts, so I loaded it up from that point, and sure enough, it played just fine.

If possible i need a save file on hard mode as early as physically possible so I can beat the game myself.

This would be a huge a help and greatly appreciated.
