Xenogears Disc 2 Issue(s).

Hello, everyone:
I'm new to Emuparadise, and have just begun getting into 'PSX' Emulation.

My question is this:
For the game "Xenogears", I'm on the second disc, and am currently facing 'Deus'. However, everytime the battle begins, he halves everyone's HP as soon as his turn comes. After that, everything goes fine, until his second turn, the camera pans over to whomever he targeted to attack. And that's it.
The game 'freezes.'

Has anyone else encounter this problem? If so, did you 'fix' it, and how did you?

Even if you have not seen this issue, all possible help would be greatly appreciated.

try switching to another version of epsxe if ur using 1.6.0 switch to 1.5.2 and vice versa
or if ur familiar with hex editing the memory of the game u can hack deus' health to kill him immediately in one turn.

You can also try making a save state every round. If he uses the attack that causes the game to freeze, then reload from your last save state and try again. Another method is to use PEC and a cheat code that will let you kill him in one round.

This switching idea may not work cause I've
heard that this happens on every emu around
Best way is to follow your second idea or what SegNin
sugested...

Or you may try Bleem cause I haven't heard about
it crashes on this emu but I doubt you can run it
as it's not working on XP and most of members here
are using XP (not me anymore )

uhm i actually made a little fix for this a long time ago, but it only works for epsxe 1.5.1, i'm too lazy to re-do it for newer version of epsxe so you might wanna download version 1.5.1, use my fix, save state and switch back to what you were using.

I just did that fight today. haha, xenogears is awsome!! Disc2 is weird but oh well!!
What I did was use save states a loooooooot.... yep, and yeah, if he does that move, just load the save state and hope he duzn't do it again.. He doesn't do it too often, so it's okay
