PSP CS Problem....

I got PSP CS a wile ago from a friend, gave me a serial, crack, everything...

I installed it ok, and activated it using some kinda crack.

Here's the problem:

When I use it for about 5-10 minutes, it likes to 'not work'. What it does is lock up my picture I was working on, doesn't let me use the paint brush, or any other tool, and the only way I can work on it again is if I restart the program.

Now, PSP 7.0 never did this to me, Gimp doesn't do it to me, it's just PSP CS (v8.0)

Any idea why it locks up like that? I don't connect to the net on that computer, and I do Spyware/Virus checks on it frequently.

I'm running XP SP2, but I ran it on another computer that just had XP Home on it, and it still did it.

I don't think it has anything to do with heat, as I have 5 fans in the case itself...

[edit] oh, I forgot, I run PSP 7 on my computer, too. I doubt it's a conflict, because it doesn't ask me to uninstall the previous version...

PSP... you mean Paint Shop Pro? Or you use PhotoShop (just used PSP for mistake)?

I use Paint Shop Pro 9 and the only problem is that the text tool crashes the program (it didn't do that before, just when I was making logo for ORPG).

I don't know how that can happen. And it does the same with other computer too? Maybe there is some error in the version you got from your friend?

Photoshop, the only program that carries the name CS...

might be an error, but i have no idea, because the program doesnt give me any errors, it just like freezes, but I can exit out of the program...

[edit] always use PSP for photoshop... didnt know of that other prog...

perhaps its your crack,sometimes if you replace the files with a bad crack it may malfunction

actually, the only crack is an activation keygen, but i call it a crack because it allows me to activate it...

[edit] i think ill stick with photoshop 7, and gimp on the side. CS doesn't really have any more crap as 7.0....

But CS is just stumping me... any ideas are helpful.

It's alright that you download these things, or "get them from a friend" as the case may be. We can't monitor what you do when you're away from EP, nor would we want to even if we could. That said, discussing cracks, keygens and whatnot, well that's against the rules here. Rules you might wanna start paying attention to, alright guys?

EDIT: Hmn. I'm going to talk this over with the rest of the staff, and I'll keep you updated with the results. If it's found that this is allowed, then I'll delete this post and re-open the thread.
