Enable automatic frame limit on video plug-in settings.

What plug-ins are you using and on what emulator?

What I can say, it runs fine in ePSXe 1.5.2 using either Pete's plug-ins or P.E.Op.S soft plug-in and ePSXe sound core.

Yeah, you NEED to change to 1.5.2. As long as you have the executable file in the same folder as the previous one (you can rename current epsxe.exe to epsxe160.exe), all the plug-ins work as before. There is a bug in 1.6.0 that freezes the FF9 in one point of the game. So you need to use 1.5.2 to get past that

But the speed issue didn't appear with me even with 1.6.0 Are you sure you have frame rate limit AND automatic limit enabled?

    1) rename the epsxe.exe file you have (the 1.6.0 version) to epsxe160.exe.
    2) get ePSXe 1.5.2 (you only need the .exe file).
    3) put that file to the epsxe folder (where that epsxe160.exe is).

Then if you want to run 1.5.2, start epsxe.exe, if you want to run 1.6.0 (which works better with some games), run epsxe160.exe.

If you can't find 1.5.2 anywhere else, then you can find it from my server.
