Default How can you rip music from Video games?

I remember a long time ago that you can download "Gradius V OST", but that torrent is gone. How do you rip music from a PS2 game? Gradius V is a PS2 CD game, how can this be done?

It depends on how the music is stored. I don't know about this game, if it is on CD or DVD and does it have musics as audio tracks or some data format.

There was a thread some time ago about ripping music, but I think it was for PSX games.

if its PS2 games, it might be hard.

but just use the old, classic method

get yourself a decent soundcard (SoundBlaster series would be good)
and a RCA to 3.5mm plug converter (the good one should create no noise)
and record it using AUX input (you can use Creative Recorder)
then save it as MP3...to save some HardDisk Space

however since its Analogue Recording, the Quality might not be as perfect

play the Gradius using Cheat, make sure you can record the whole song.

I want to know as well, but for psx games. I haven't the slightest idea how. and none of the games had music tracks or music files that I could make out.

oh, and analog just sucks... I want better...

Figured this would help out. This is a pretty good music ripping FAQ.

Anyway there are a couple of other FAQs bout music ripping and they should help you out, least better then I can.

like I have all the stuff... Isn't there a software-based way to do it? And M79, yours is irrelevent to the fact that I don't have a PS2. I only have a PSX...
