Going to make my own free online multiplayer rpg

That's it. I'm going to make it. It is just played using your web browser that supports JavaScript (only to make it easier for client). The game engine is going to be made with BcX and compiled to executable file (faster than any script, because it is ready code to send to processor)

The registration will be free and this thread is for you who are interested in giving some ideas / hints for it. Of course I might need some moderators too... but let's save that for later, okay?

The original idea for now is that it is going to be a virtual city, where (when you register) you suddenly appear. Then you can do anything you want: get a job, be a burglar, start a shop, anything. So it depends on players on what kind of world it developes into. I might get up a rough layout soon.

When you first enter the game, you are just a person. Then you do what you want. <i>Soldier</i>, try to become a president. It might be possible. <i>Solidus Joe</i>, you can be the mafia boss if you can do it.

Thanks. I'm wondering about graphics. It is more like this should be like text only, but the layout could be of stylish design. If there is going to be a lot of players, then the server will get loaded and it would be easier if there were not so many graphical components.

As one idea is that users are able to do anything, including building houses or making items (it's going to be hard to program), it is almost impossible to implement graphics for them.

Now I have student examination tests, so I might be not so active building this for a month, but when the test are over, I got plenty of free time.

As of the webspace, I haven't checked the current situation, but there is 1 GB allocated for our domain, so I suggest there is some free...

Hmm the core of your idea is already implemented in an ancient type of game called a MUD. Although I wish you luck and will check up on your status etc.

This seems like an interesting idea. It reminds me of a Sims/Sim City, but everyone in the town determines how it ends up not just one person acting as a god.

It would be pretty hard to create.
