Default FF8 & FF9 ROMs to play ON XBOX "HELP!"

I downloaded the neccessary files off this website for Final Fantasty 7 & 9....I also already exctracted the files using the .exe files offered on the website. Then I transferred the files using my FTP program, when I wehn into my Playstation emulator and tried ot play the files...they wouldn't work..something about a missing .bin file?

    PLEASE HELP if u can!

The .bin file is the actual game data.

They are also referred to as ISOs instead of ROMs since they came from a CD.

First, what mod chip/program/whatever do you have for your xbox to allow you to run emulators?

Second, have you ran any other games on the emulator?

Third, if you haven't, try googling the bin

Fourth, if you are running evolution x, there are known problems with Evox and PCSX.

He's talking about the image bin, so that's not really helpful to google for Final fantasy 9.bin.

He'll prolly need to make another image by mouting the current iso with Daemon Tools, then using CDRWIN.

maybe he's missing the bios file thats a bin file also the transfer of the iso's may have failed due to filename length. To be honest though I'd just stick with epsxe as the xbox emulator is rubbish imo

That was the file I was talking about. I was under the assumption he had a good file, since the way he said it made it sound like it was the file from Emuparadise.

I guess mod chips do the same things flashing the bios does, allowing you to burn games onto your hard drive, right?

Well, anyway, a mod chip will... You install a PSX emulator onto your xbox. The best I know of is called PCSXbox.

all chips work the same.. they allow you to run unsigned code. you cant just burn the iso's to disc either they have to be run from the HDD. The emulator is a nice idea but it just doesnt work good enough to use. I've tried pretty much all the various emulators for the xbox and the only one I gave up on was the psx emu. og why does this thread have FF8 in the title and not in the actual post?? it doesnt even work on the psx emu for the xbox.

The modchip I have is an Xecuter2 chip I believe. Final Fantasty 8 was a typo...I ment FF7 & 9!...sorry...and I did d/l the files from Emuparadise.org. All I did...after I d/l all files for all 3 discs...I just simply extracted it using the EXE file and after transfered every single file to my XBOX...and tried to play it with the emulator that I have...

and no I have not had any Playstation game work before...and the emulator that I'm using is PcsXBox.....I was told if I had the actual game disc, I could just pop it in and my xbox could read it? i dont know....but ya....please help!
