Im sure you were limiting your upload. If you wan't to get fast download speeds then you must upload at a good clip.

If you werent then you were ether downloading torrents with few Seeders and peers or did not have all the right ports open.

The only thing about some newsgroups tho, is that most of them are invite only. But the good thing is that you can get costant speeds most of the time. My brother gets speeds of like 500k/bs all the time.

Your ISP logs every IP they give you. If somebody wants to find you they just have to ask your ISP.

Huh, I've never seen a group that required a invite. At worst sometimes your provider doesn't carry a group you want, but those groups usually suck.
