    Mario's a hero. Well, an imaginary hero, like... idol. Hey, these are just games! Not real world. What are games for? I think they are for us to imagine other kinds of worlds, those that we cannot otherwise live in.

    I'm not disputing the fact that Mario is a hero, but this was a critisism that many people had (not my own, I love to be impartial)
