Nope, not without a modchip or a slide card/swop trick

P.S. Don't get the Slim PS2 as it has no support for HardDrives and last time I checked there was no mod chips for it either

Plus if you have a slim ps2, you have a year-long warranty in case you screw something up.
www.mod-chip.com is where I buy all my modding supplies. Try it out.

Buy a pre modded PS2, alot of places offer a year-long warranty anyway were as if you buy a PS2 and mod it yourself you loose any Warrenty/Guarentee you had with Sony

You can always ask for good places to buy PS2's pre modded, I wouldn't know myself though I just know you can and have friends that have done so.

BUY GAMES?????? But where's the fun in that? The whole point to modding is to save money and play things you rightfully shouldn't be able to. Pre-mod would be the way to go. Unless you're REAL cheap like me and fake mod your psone and if you had a ps2 would fake mod it too. I love my psone modchip, aka a paper clip that holds down the cover button.

Swap Magic works wonders. I use it. No problems yet.

You can also fit a hard-drive to the new slim ps2's now (you do need to open your ps2 and grab a soldering iron but it does work)
