    Only has Cydoor to show the ads within eXeem. If you're bothered by that, just get eXeem Lite.

    I think I'll do that. when I get home. If it's good I hope it won't take too long before it's ported.

    I'll try out this lite one, although it seems not to be fully decentralised... and I like regular torrents.

    Rather than making a new protocol, lets burn the **AA to the ground and kill the families and pets of the CEOs.

    Exeem seems fairly redundant, been using it in beta, and was not impressed at all. There isn't an incentive for people to continue seeding files; in fact most things on the beta had only 1 seeder :/

    Still may be better soon.

    While a network is new theres not gonna be a huge amount around. I'll try and start some stuff up, but not huge stuff due to my slowish connection.

    I feel sorry for you then

    Anyway so far exeem doesnt seem to have much choice or many seeds, hopefully that picks up a bit. Although I'll probably steer clear of **AA material till theres a way to be fairly safe in doing so that doesnt hog 50-90 megs of ram.

    Running eXeem on Linux.

    http://exeem-linux.solaris.name/index.php

    This is unofficial quick guide about how to run the exeem file sharing program on Linux operating system, since its only for windows.

    So if you dont know what this is you better get off the site!

    First of all you need a program named wine on your Linux distro, if you dont know what it is then read here.

    Im not the expert for wine program, so dont blame me and im not responsible for any actions you do with help of this guide! If you wont succed, it isnt my problem!

    Now that you have wine installed and configured, here are the easy steps how to do it:

    1. Exeem installation with wine:

    Option 1 - Copy your existing exeem directory from your winbox to your wine 'Program Files' directory in your virtual c:/ drive, or whereever.

    Option 2 - Download exeem installation file and execute it 'wine exeem-setup.exe' and install it (im not sure if it works, I didnt do it this way!).

    2. Exeem under wine configuration:

    Open your wine config file (~/.wine/config usually) and put this at the end:

    [AppDefaults\\eXeem.exe\\DllOverrides]
    "*" = "builtin, native"
    "dciman32" = "native"
    "dciman" = "native"
    "shdocvw" = "native"
    "msvcp71" = "native"
    "msvcr71" = "native"
    "gdiplus" = "native"

    If you dont have those dll files (dciman*.dll or shdocvw.dll) then download them from here or here..

    Other dlls are included in exeem (0.18) directory.

    3. Go to exeem directory and type 'wine eXeem.exe' and thats it! It will ask you for serial most probably since your exeem registry data is clear..

    Final notices:

    - If it hangs up then minimize the window and maximize it back, then it will be back to normal (lol).

    - If you change your configuration, including adding the serial, the changes will be saved when you exit the exeem successfully..
    - You might get an annoying runtime error on exit.

    - Ive tested it with eXeems 0.16,0.17,0.18 betas.

    - If you use the beta version <0.20, then you can close the serial request window.

    - All the options are working fine.

    Thats all for now! If you dont believe me, here are the screenshots of successful running exeem under wine in Linux.

    Cheers,

    - niko (exeem-linux [at] solaris.name, irc: niko [at] irc.suprnova.org),

    bye!

    At the moment, this program is pretty much worthless. I cant find anything. What I use for all my game downloading needs is TorrentSearch X. http://www.torrentsearch.com
