I think they are talking about the system they had a loooong time ago. When you made topics that got a lot of replies you got gil, and with the gil you could buy stuff like midi songs for your profile, and have your name underlined and in bold. There was other stuff you could do to get it/buy with it, but I forgot.

ahh, the story of most people who use computers. They always want improvements on what they are blessed to have, but when the old stuff has glitches or runs slow because of the new stuff, they complain about that.... Unfortunate.

I read other threads about this hack. It is the one where members can battle each other somehow. And why I didn't know about this? I registered about a year ago, and the threads about this hack were from year 2003, before I registered here. And the gil hack was put here AFTER my registration (it weren't here when I came, but later). So this is not the gil system with bazaar (at least this is different than the one used last year)
