Aol Sucks

well ive been having major probs with aol and found that i cant download torrents from certain sites because of aol but when i contacted aol they say its not them thats the problem but bit torrent (bollocks) i remove all aol software from my pc and what do you know i can download fine with IE or firefox, well thanx a lot aol for your excellent support you couldnt arrange a piss up in a brewery !

god i hate aol we had it back in like 97 it would kick us off every like 10 minutes. it was safe to say we only had aol for a month. then we switched to at&t worldnet which was a good isp for dial up for a few years then we got the cable in like 01 or 02

heh, I used to have AOL. Number one my ass. I had it for about a while, quickly switched over to Earthlink, pretty good dial-up. Thankfully now I have a cable modem. AOL CD's are fun to break though, kind of like stress balls, but flat.

I used their cds as wheels for a mouse trap car i had to make in 6th grade. just dot glue on the sides and they are the best cause it gives realy good traction and they are light

When I went to Los Angelos with my family, they brought their computer along for internet. What we did was we picked up an AOL cd from the lobby. (It had a month of free access and we were only gonna be there for a month ) Well, the month went by. The service sucked balls and lost connections were common. Finally I went back to Wyoming and went to the normal service provider. All said and done. Service cancled, right? Wrong. AOL is now calling about twice every month, asking if we want the service. My mom screams at em every time. But they keep calling. Then one day my parents get the credit card statement back and it has an AOL CHARGE ON IT! The bastards took the number from before and charged us for something we said we didnt want. I've never seen my mom that mad. lol

I agree. It always takes forever to load a page. I tried to cancel the aol account but they keep telling me that they'll give another free month. Currently I'm at month six of free aol. I think the service sucks but at least it's free.

Yeah well when a company says its not there problem when something doesnt work, and then you un-install akll there software and theta something works again. You should call them back and tell them that they suck and they lost a customer.

I don't even see why everyone complains like this. AOL isn't all that bad if you don't use thier software. I only get disconnected when I'm doing a lot of stuff involving t'internet, like playing online games while downloading things, which I don't do very often.

Heh my dad decided to do one of the AOL trials ages ago (talking years now) with 56k and when we tried to cancel they begged plead and extended free time etc.. We didn't stay with em though.

Fortunately no charges for non-service ensued.

years ago i had one of those 1 month free things and when i went to cancel they said if you stay with us we will give u 3 months free lol they must be pretty desperate to keep their customers
