    Default snes on psp

does anybody know if that is possible it would be my favorite system if it could and it seems to be a system that could possibly be used for this unless they come out with some retro games for it anyway I'm seriously just asking if it would be simpler to use an umd disc or the memory stick and whether or not someone is in production of one at the moment

Not, yet possible. And im sure it would use the memory stick and not the UMD disk...

It could be the chip set up would give it a lot of power about the same as a dreamcast I think but I waiting to see how the programming is done and the way that they'll deter in modification of the system

Eh, I'm sure someone will find a workaround eventually, and develop all sorts of emulators for it. It's just a matter of time.

I have heard that the PSP can run code from the UMD. That is the way to go. I don't know if one is in development yet.

The PSP's power is closer to the PS2 then the Dreamcast.

It took me about 5 -10 minutes to read this post. And no, I dont think itll ever possible, because the UMD disc isnt read by anything else but the PSP.

I think that I've heard that before it's by steven lynch but what does that have to do with the psp

oh yeah for josh from what I've seen in the demos some reports and just looking at the specs the psp is slightly down in power in certain aspects while it has more processing power than the ps2 depending on what it's doing and it doesn't seem to draw all of the backgrounds on more 3d intensive games like need for speed rivals and if the programming was done sloppily then the game will be power intensive and suck up the juice here are some of the specs I've been looking at you can see for yourself why I say its more like the dreamcast it just doesn't have the same kind of power as the console but it might be more powerful than the dreamcast in certain places

I'm sure later down the line sony will allow people to use the umd disc for home use to make there own files it would be a better way to make profit especially sense the development of the disc must have cost an arm and a leg and the base amount for games today is about 50 dollars at the most it seems a better judgement that they'll make it more commercial once they've improved the encryption it makes more sense
