I seem to be on IRC a little less each day. As someone else said, it's definetly a totally different community over there. I can sure say that I have been visiting IRC for alot longer than i have the forums, and more frequently. But it's still good to have the forums around though, since i haven't seen some dudes that have posted in this thread for a while on IRC.
P.S. CCDART, you said IRC = Internet Related Chat.. but isn't it Internet Relay Chat?

In a way, you can compare IRC to live webcam pornography, and the forums to pornographic images. The webcam pornography will be more fulfulling, while the pornographic images are usually of a higher quality, and you can get alot of it.
