    Default video cards

I've been wanting to buy a new video card (one with tv-out). The one that I'm looking at uses DDRram but my pc uses SDram. Would this be a problem?

The onboard ram of the video card and your comp. ram don't have to be the same.

A GeForce 4 would be 400 to 800 dollors in Canada. Dependeing on witch one he would want to get.

Exactly. The cost of things in Canada is aproximately twice as much as in the USA.

Yeah thats a bit much for me. All I have right now is a 4x AGP nVidia TnT2 M64 (32mb ram).
I just want something a little fancier with tv-out.

    I got a GeForce 2 GTS, but I can get my hands on a GeForce 4, for only 150 Euro (that's something in 170-180 dollars)...But it isnt't a GeForce 4 titanium

I can recommend you a new card Ganondorf just bought,
It's the Matrox G400 Max Dualhead. Pretty cool card, but it could be quite expensive.
Or, you could get a Hecules card (based on an Nvidia GeForce 3 chipset with a Tv Out), just take a look around, here's some points you should keep in mind:

    - NVidia has the BEST OpenGL support out there, so you should usually go for them
    - Nvidia is really good with DirectX too!
    - Get a card with DDR Ram, nothing else!
    - RamDAC should be above 250Mhz (RAMDAC = Random Access Digital to Analog Controller)
    - Make sure your Ram is rated at something below 8ns (8 nano seconds)
    - Also, your pipeline should be above 128bits for best performance.

Well, I think that should be all, except that the driver should be DirectX certified .
I suggest you go in for an MX version of an NVidia card, with TV out. Would be cheap and fine for you! Or import it from the US.

You can get a good Hurcules card with tv-out. They should be pretty cheap by now. When I was looking at them aboute 5 months ago one cost $150 US. You should be able to find one at half the cost now.

I'm looking at getting the best of the MX series of the GeForce4. Its not as expensive as the Ti but it is still the most pimp video card around right now.
