Question whats up with Gameboy advance???

I recently got a brand new gameboy advanced and I was looking at it and I thot...this system really looks like a game gear!!!

so my question is -->did nintendo by the sega company or is nitendo stealing the game gear look or is it just a big coincidence???

Ok, here goes. Really in the portable world there are only 2 viable system configurations. With the screen centered and the buttons on either side, like the GameGear, or with the screen at the top and buttons below, like the Gameboy. Now systems like the Lynx, GBA or GameGear have employed the former configuration, while the Turbo Express and all the early iterations of the Gameboy have employed the latter. Bottom line is that just because a system has a similar configuration as another doesnt mean that someone is ripping someone off. Its just that you are somewhat limited in what you can do with a portable system. Thats my take on the matter. NOONE IS RIPPING OFF ANYBODY.

Its not true actually. Sega is a game developer now, rather then a console developer. Meaning that you will see Sega games on every viable console, but you will never see another Sega system. Nintendo doesnt own them. <IMG SRC="smilies/yelsmile.gif" border="0">

Exactly. I can see how you could speculate that Nintendo bought them but that is entirely untrue. Sega is developing a few games for the X-box right now, including DOA3, but lately we have seen Sega teaming up with Nintendo for many GCN titles. Like Sonic. I haven't seen many for PS2 yet though.

The only ones I've seen Sega make on the Ps2 are some sports games.Like NFL2k2.

    Uh, Magus...
Sega does not make DOA3, Tecmo does. Why you would think Sega does is beyond me...

Not only that, but Sega is making a new Jet Grind Radio for the X-box as well as a new Panzer Dragoon game and Phantasy Star Online as well as House of the Dead 3. For the PS2 they are releasing the original Space Channel 5 and SC5 part 2, Virtua Fighter 4, NFL 2k2, and much more that I cant think of off the top of my head right this moment. So Magus, there is the support on the PS2 side of things...
