Default Converting mpegs to sound files

Are there any programs that can convert mpeg files into like mp3 or wav. files. I have these live videos and I want to burn a CD and listen to them on my cd player.

Get VirtualDub, open the video file, go to the audio menu, change to full processing mode, then go to compression, select no compression, click ok, file, save WAV.

I dont think Vdub can do that...

PS... you can dump audio to more then just .wav with vdub... and you can also encode the audio files to diffrent types i believe.

Well, I've got some crappy software called AVI-GIF, which will do mpegs as well. It's not really a good idea to convert motion video to GIFs, because GIFs only handle 256 colours, and the quantisation method employed by MPEG encoders is really funky and mixes colours around a bit. The best you'll get is a pretty-average looking dithered image that might remind you of running Windows in 256 colours.
