can someone find a loophole?
am playing through metal gear solid on ePSXe. when i get to the battle with psycho mantis i am supposed to switch my controller from player 1 to player 2 so that he is unable to read my mind. otherwise he is unbeatable. i don't think this is possible to do on the emulator. it will not allow me to change gamepads while the rom is running. if you know a way around this could you please help me out. thanks...

Save state when it's time to change the controller, restart the emulator and change controller settings, load state.

I must admit I've beaten him without switching the control pads, but swapping the control pad really make it much easier. I think skinner hit the nail on the head with his solution.
