Or perhaps you broke a rule, like posting your trade list in a thread, while we have a huge sticky thread for trade lists.

its just wierd because i see some threads on the forum that people have posted their list of games for trade. Also, if you read my post correctly im also helping others and offering my time into sharing my games. i did say im releasing and seeding any of the following to anyone, did i not. i guess its my mistake or my ignorance.

Well, if you were posting your list along with an offer to seed some of what you have, I see no reason to close the thread. I'll take a look at it, and see what's up....

Eh. The Watcher linked me to his thread and said it was supposed to be closed, so I just closed it, assuming he knew what he was talking about.
The Watcher, maybe you should read posts before judging it and asking people doing a favor to close it. thanks.

look your ment to post your trade list in the trade list thread if you wish to request a game request it and LINK your list save on mess and you dont have to write it out

Ziegfried, you're the moderator, man. Use your best judgment as to wether or not something needs to be closed.
As for myself, I'd have left it open, if only because he was not only posting his list, but freely offering up some of his games as well.
The inevitable requests would've only served to have cluttered up the Trade List thread as I see it. And while in the past we didn't really regulate it, I'd like to see the Trade List consist of y'know, trade lists, rather then lists followed by page after page of requests.
We deal with things on a case to case basis. At least we should. This thread brings up a good point, which is that rather then simply glancing at a thread and making an on the spot judgment, we as moderators should treat each case individually, and determine how to handle them as such.Originally Posted by The Watcher
