Right. So lots of people make crappy little fangames which everybody hates and nobody should bother playing. Games with titles like FINAL FATNASY 7 PRAT 2 and whatnot. But there are also people who make their own little creations, works of genius. These games are awesome and non-lame, hence my liking them. I'd like to get a hold of more. Here are a few examples of what I consider to constitute awesome:
Earwig is ANGRY!

Very short. Very disturbing. Very good. Think of it as Saladfingers: The Game. You're a crazy kid with a crazy demon friend in your head and you're like crazy and... yeah. Crazy. An adventure game (point n' click) made with AGS.
Richard Longhurst and the Box that Ate Time

Another AGS game. Funnily enough, also awesome. The graphics are intentionally heinous, day-glo affairs made in mspaint. Hilarious, and I can't figure out how to finish it.
Maniac Mansion Deluxe

AGS remake of the original classic Maniac Mansion. The same gameplay with pretty graphics, it's one of those win-win things you hear about all the time. Good soundtrack, too. The only fangame on my list, but it's well worth playing.
Larry Vales: Traffic Division

One of the first AGS games. Has a plethora of sideburns cracks and is yet another of those joke games which manage to have enough in them to give you a serious afternoon of gaming. Has a sequel.
5 Days a Stranger
http://www.agsforums.com/games.php?action=detail&id=269
Somewhat more serious than the other AGS games. You can die in it. Some dude with a butcher knife is slaughtering everyone around you, and yet your character still manages to be witty. Has a sequel.
Pleurghburg: Dark Ages
http://www.agsforums.com/games.php?action=detail&id=35
Another serious AGS game. Pretty crap graphics, but they work well enough and the gameplay is what matters. You're a detective in a noirish city setting. Sequel due for release, eventually.
A Blurred Line

Unlike AGS, most rpgmaker games are horribly crap. This one is not. The rtp graphics will make you cringe, but the plot is very classy, and there are a lot of points in the game where you can choose alternate paths, resulting in different puzzles, characters and gameplay situations. Fair few minigames, too. Again, the plot is far too good a reason to play this. Futuristic in setting. Line's End is meant to come out any day now... meant to.
There have been multiple attempts to make an Emuparadise rpg. I'm thinking an AGS game might actually work.
