    8 MB RAM
    520 MB Hard Disk

also, the Xaser 3 is yummy, I think so anyway and err.. price... i estimate it probably cost me about 1600 or 1700 pounds, ive been upgrading bit by bit though so im not entirely sure.

9 for Nips. Pretty awesome rig that one. Just need the new bits, huh?

    Ok, another computer

    Pentium 2 @ ~233 MHz
    96 MB RAM
GeForce 2 MX Something or other...32 MB
    Sound Blaster 16 Sound Card
    20X CD Drive
    4 GB Hard Disk (OS)
20 GB Hard Disk (MP3's, only the latest ones though, not enough room for all )

    Whata piece of shit, huh?

On a retro scale, that gets a 7. On a regular scale it's probably a 3. My old computer is worse though...

    Cyrix 120mhz
    28mb RAM
Voodoo 2 (second best thing about the comp)
    20gb hard drive
    CD drive
CD-RW drive (best thing about the comp)

I know there's a few more components, but believe me when I say they aren't worth mentioning. It was out of date when I got in 1998, thank God I know a bit more about computers nowadays...

retro rating: 4 (cyrixs sucked even when they were new)
    current rating: -1

    my spex:
    p4 2ghz w/o HT
    512 MB RAM
    30 GB internal HD
    80 GB external HD
    2x USB 2.0 ports
    Intel Extreme GFX 2
    vga2ntsc converter box
    lite-on cdrw/dvd-rom combo 24X24X4X8
    15" LCD monitor

keep in mind that it IS a laptop...

just wanted to add a rating for DN's 386 on the retro scale: 10

i would have loved to have a 386/40 back in the day. that would have very much been an ub3r-1337 computer in 1990.
