The parts could still be used as fuel for a fire. A scented fire, at that.

Still awaiting it. But, yeah. I get what you mean. You are sad because one of the greatest systems of all time is being sold for chump change.

You probably mean UCON64 or something to transfer files to a copier. It's all plenty easy to find, finding a copier is the hard part.

Unless by blank carts you mean Nintendo Power carts. Nobody ever figured out how to flash those as far as I know
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

Na, somehow you can flash the rom on the chip of a normal cart. People have done it with Star Fox 2 a lot using a Super FX2 cart (i think Yoshi's Island and something else used it)

My friend had something along those lines...I'll have to ask him about it...it's just some USB device that you plug the cartridge into and using some software on the computer you can dump the game into a ROM file or a ROM file onto the cartridge....he had Super Mario RPG on a cartridge for, I think it was, a Donkey Kong Country game...

They sell pre-owned DC's at EB for 20 bucks too. Not sure if it has a VMU or an extra controller though. I tried to cash in my US DC when I was going back to Spain like 2 years ago, but since the guy said he would only give me 2$ for it, I told him to go fuck himself.

Oh yeah, to the people that went off-topic: I've seen pictures of a SNES CD drive add-on. Basically it's a CD drive that goes into the cart slot, and you can store all the ROMs you want on a CD and play them right off the disc. I don't remember what this util was called though. Indeed, it is one leet piece of hardware. A similar device is also available for the Sega Genesis/MegaDrive as well as the TurboGrafx 16 if I remember correctly.

Anyone want to explain N64 backup devices? I've been looking at getting some sort of backup device for my Nintendo 64 but I can't find anywhere good to get them or what you need...most sites that I have found backup devices don't categorize them very well..

    http://www.robwebb.clara.co.uk/shop/copiers/copiers.htm

search for this and the one above:

Doctor V64 128M or 256M, with or without CD drive

...that was easy to find and not very expensive...I'm just wondering what all is needed and how it all works, I have no trouble finding it once I know what I'm trying to find...

Search for N64 copiers on google, that should give you results... Most are not on sale anymore, though... And the "good" ones are only on sale for developers...

On topic: I wish I had a DC... Or a store that'd sell 'em cheap around here...

If anyone can pick up one of these cheap dreamcasts and is willing to ship to me, I'd really appreciate it. If anyone can swing it, PM me for details so I can sort out where it goes and how to go about reimbursement. Otherwise I'll just have to ebay it up.
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain
I like watchin the puddles gather rain
And all I can do is just pour some tea for two
and speak my point of view
    But its not sane..
I just want some one to say to me
Ill always be there when you wake
Ya know Id like to keep my cheeks dry today
So stay with me and Ill have it made
And I dont understand why I sleep all day
And I start to complain that theres no rain
And all I can do is read a book to stay awake
And it rips my life away but its a great escape..
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain...
