Is Final Fantasy Unlimited for gamecube a good thing?

If you dont know, Final Fantasy Unlimited has been announced for gamecube. It is based on the Final Fantasy anime in japan. Do you think this is a good thing or a bad thing?

Very bad thing. The Final Fantasy anime blows. Is this being published by Square? If its just for the Cube, I might take a look at it. We'll see.

Its not a bad thing at all. I'm happy to see that Square and Nintendo have patched things up. Though exactly which FF we will be seeing has yet to be announced. There was just much speculation that it may be FF Unlimited, but nothing has been confirmed. And I think its great that FF will now be on both the PS2 and Gamecube. That means it will reach a wider audience. I think thats indeed a good thing.

A Final Fantasy game on the GC can only be a good thing. And just to set the record straight, Square used to make games exclusively for Nintendo, so there's absolutely no excuse for Sony to keep Square games exclusive to PS2. Just remember, it was a Nintendo console that made Square a household name.

I know, I think it's a good thing that they are finally patching things up because they made some really good games for Nintendo before. Chrono Trigger being one of my favorites. Yeah, the Playstation games were good but you can't beat the classics, and Square basically became what it is now from it's Nintendo games. I've never seen the Japenese anime either.

FF Tactics has been mentioned by both Nintendo and Square as a possibility for the GBA. Cool.

what is the difference between that and the normal series?

i only have a 56k modem and cant be bothered to download massive ISO's

Their is a huge a difference. The battle system is completely different. It's more stratagy based.

Have you ever played Tactics Ogre? Its the same sort of game. Very good, BTW.

No I have not. I have Ogre Battle 64 though. I havn't played it because it's missing graphics. You can't see the characters.

I've never played Final Fantasy Tactics. I'll just get it for the GBA when it comes out heh.
