I think the most important point that needs to be made here is that there are more fanboys out there then just the FF variety. For instance, we've got the Halo fanboys, whom bother me far more then the FF fanboys ever could...

I agree. But the most hideous of all fanboys are the Nintendo fanboys (note: fanboys, not fans)! Anything Nintendo does = awesome, anything it's competitors does = shame to the industry. Nintendo = innovative, Nintendo's competitors = copycats... -____________________-

I think I might be an FF fanboy, but the only good ones are 6 and 9... There are worse than FF fanboys, Harry Potter fanboys, Linux fanboys... They're all so stupid.

I'm no fanboy of everything, I buy what I like.
I do have a bias towards Nintendo though. I wouldn't call myself a fanboy, and I play my XBOX far more than I have ever played my Gamecube.

So is it the new trend? You don't give a shit about what others think, but you make damn well sure they're aware of it? If you don't care about what others think, then why do you care wether or not we know you don't? With that mindset, wouldn't you have been better of just leaving it unsaid?

And more to the point, why exactly does it matter if one does care about anothers opinion enough to discuss it on the boards? This is after all a forum, and what is a forum if not a place to discuss one's opinions on any given subject with others, as diverse as they may indeed be?

This is all just us using the board for it's intended purpose. I'm sure that at the end of the day when everyone's logged off, they don't sit around stweing over the fact that someone they don't know on the other side of the screen doesn't share thier opinion on something....
