    Default Electronic music...

Just wanted to make a thread about the l33tness of techno/electronic music. What are your favorite artists from this genre?
Personally, I love Dj Shadow(mainly for "Endtroducing"), Dj Doboy(better than sex), Gorilaz, the forgotten Mr. President(remember the song "Yah Yah Yeh Coco Jamboo" from '98/97?), Eiffel 65, Jamiroquai, Dj Tiesto, Radiohead, and RMB. I guess you could say I listen to T.A.T.U. now and then... great "porn pop" A Russian pop singer called "Origa" has some really cool techno-ish songs(mainly the opening songs for the anime Ghost in the Shell: SAC).

I have loads of other electronic and chillout music compilations, so there are countless great DJs I don't remember the name of.

    What stuff do you like?

Electronic music doesn not make you cool.

I however, am partial to songs made using the NES sound chip.

Umm.. DJ Shadow, Bonobo, Q-Burns Abstract Message, Cinematic Orchestra, Massive Attack, Mr. Scruff, The Chemical Brothers, DJ Krush, Tosca, Miss Kitten and thats all I can think of right now. I also like Radiohead and Gorillaz but I don't really consider them eletronica.

EDIT: Oh and I voted no because I dont think any music makes you 1337. Although I do think Electronica its self is 1337.

I didn't mean that the music makes you cool... but rather that it makes you feel cool. I should've just asked if you liked electronica or not...

Edit: I also like DJ Krush... as well as Boom Boom Satellites(also from Japan, they do the rock-ish song for the new anime CGI movie "Appleseed", based on a manga).

Johnny, I demand you listen to some Chemical Brothers right now. I select Block Rocking Beats, Hey Girl Hey Boy and Let Forever Be.

    Also, Daft Punk > You.

EDIT: I forgot Basement Jaxx. Although I don't think their new material is as good as their old, they're still a class act.

Looks like you're a fan of Ninja Tune records, good stuff. If you haven't already, check out Skalpel (they're also on Ninja Tune). If you like Endtroducing, there's a good chence you'll like Skalpel. I just bought their album 'Stereo' today, good stuff. Infact, you probably got the NT sampler disc with Dial 'M' for Monkey, yes? That features a good song of theirs.

Soeru you should listen to PPK, a russian Techno group that has some really nice beats. Resurrection is one of the best. I listen to all sorts of trance, as long as its melodical and beatiful
