    Default Vinyl

I NEEEEEED to know what records you've recently bought, the turntable you're using, the speakers and amp and your thoughts on your own setup and what you're planning to do to improve it (that is if you're not currently happy with things as they are).

This thread should predominantly be about the records you've bought, the setup is peripheral to this thread.

Oh my joy, only you deserve conceit

I don't currently have a turntable, and my Vinyl collection is very limited.

    Queensryche - Operation: Mindcrime
    Rush - 2112
Yes - Close To The Edge
Yes - Tales From Topographic Oceans
    Alan Parsons Project - Eve
    Dio - Holy Diver
    Jethro Tull - Aqualung
And this soundtrack to something on which Rick Wakeman plays keys...

    Foo Fighters - Foo Fighters
    Nirvana - Nevermind
Nirvana - From the Muddy Banks of Wishkah

I also have every Queen album release on Vinyl (except the Highlander soundtracker), and then of course there's all my parents records (Led Zeppelin, Bowie, Pink Floyd, Sex Pistols etc. etc.)

I listened to Grace Under Pressure today. It's my least favourite Rush album that I own. Including Test For Echo. And to make this a worthwile post, I remembered I also have Genesis - Duke...

I'm surprised you have Venom and Manowar records... w00t.
    I(my bro) have:
    Pearl Jam - Ten
Heroes del Silencio - Several records
    Nirvana - Nevermind
    Duff - Believe in Me
Red Hot Chili Peppers - just one, don't know which though.
Guns n' Roses - one or two albums
... and a bunch of Elvis Presley, Chris Isaac, The Beatles, and other records. Not a whole deal, I do have a shitload of tapes though.

I'm not going to sell this one, as my dad gave it to me.

Heh, you probably already have "Ride the Lightning" on CD anyway. So why keep it? Unless your a fanatic and must collect rare-ass albums... sell it in the future.

creeping death has some rare never-before heard tracks. sorta, actually there fake live songs. but back when it was released, that single was the only way to hear Blitzkrieg and Am I Evil?. now, i just pop Garage Inc. into my stereo and tada.

I don't have any vinyl records, but my parents have loads, although I rarely listen to them because they're not all to my taste. My mum has:
Loads of Eagles records ('Hotel California', etc.)
    'Grease' soundtrack,
A Rolling Stones record I can't remember the name of
Far too many Rod Stewart records
A Fleetwood Mac record that I also can't remember the name of

My dad has loads of stuff too, including some really old classical records. They're way bigger than normal records and they're incredibly fragile, which should give some indication to how old they are.
