I, for one, welcome the change. Although I think it'd be better to have a size limit (say, 30-40k max) instead on limiting it to one picture. I do get sick of scrolling through a full page of sigs while running at 1280*1024 though.

I actually PM'ed Ace about that. We should have dimension and size limit. I suggested something like 550x300. I'm waiting for his response as we speak. Got to understand, that's a pretty busy guy. I forgot to mention an actual filesize limit, but I got as far as dimensions.

Yeah the one pic thing is pretty retarded so I combined my pictures into one. I was prolly the first to notice this rule because my sig was deleted.

I was talking to Ace about it on IRC when he decided on the rule. Winged 2.0 pwned. But anyway, I made this thread because not many seem to notice the actual announcement, and I think I've PMed enough people about it now.

I made all kinds of suggestions on IRC.

Halving Maison's sig size, one picture limit, etc.

Personally, I'd like to see sigs only be allowed a small banner.


EDIT: Simplicity and Psyonide have excellent examples of what I'm talking about. Skinner's sig sucks ass.

Anybody remember Forever-Pheonix's sig? It was about 1 and a half screens in 1024x768 resolutions! Changed now. Good thing.

Something that size scares me right about now. I'm on a 1024x resolution and I can't put it to the size I usually have it : 1280x1024. And I agree with Gospel on his recommendation, but it kinda lacks credibility because he would say that being that he does not have a sig.

I'm right next to nothing. My entire sig is small (422x81) and is only 8.90KB's.

I suggest that the announcements are shown at the top of the page when you click on new threads. I almost never go into any of the different pages as I just check new posts....just my 2 cents.

At first, I had no sig, for these reasons. Then I found that people enjoyed them, and if not, turned them off. But since it's an issue, I've reduced it down.
