The real meaning of life is, ones journey towards god
This is the final answer and someday eveyone will belive it, there is no alternative. But people are too complex to understand this simple thing. So for those just wait until science proves it (Its a different story if you dont live to see that day so WAKE UP)

As for God being the meaning of life, It's very true. However exactly who/what God is, is completely up to the individual.
