I'm gonna start playing the breath of fire games.
Here is a question for you should I play BOF I and BOF II on GBA or SNES?

There isnt any difference that I know of between the gba and snes versions. I guess it depends on which emulator you like better.

SNES is a higher Res than GBA so I would say go for the good old SNES

Ya just can't beat the good old flavor of SNES...ne ways like they said it doesn't matter which one you choose. I have both snes and gba versions (the originals, theyre not roms) and I can't tell any difference.

The SNES does use a higher resolution because of the different screen ration of the SNES and GBA. On a large screen with an emulator I beleive you would know the difference.

i agree with the people who say to play the snes version. gba is OK, but it doesn't have the resolution needed to look good in Fullscreen mode.

I would take the VBA emulator any day, because of the options and the higher speed. Snes emulators are too slow for me.
If any old snes game was remade again for the advance take the advance.

    Snes emulators too slow?

If VBA is running faster than a typical Snes emulator something is up. Personally I find Snes emulators run much faster, and still have the nice speed up key functionality

what if you have GBA version and had that link to the cube to play it on the TV? but of couse that requires a Gamecube and i'm pretty sure also that your talking about emulation.

I find the ol' snes emulators to be the fastest. If you want to speed it up then use the framerate keys. Can't beat SNES

Didn't they fix up the translation for the GBA version of BoF2? Cause the SNES one was rushed and botched in a few places (Yes-No questions not answering correctly, etcetera). I haven't played the GBA one to see if it's fixed up though. But even with typos and stuff I'd still reccomend the SNES versions. The area displayed on screen is bigger in addition to the higher resolution.
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here
