    Default IE Freezing Up

    Everytime i go to certain websites and i try and d/l stuff it freezes up, and i have to do a crtl/alt/del to get out of it. Need Help. Thnx in advance

    Make sure all the updates are installed and if need be, reinstall it. Only thing I can think of, if it happens all the time even after restarting.

    I had that problem. I switched to Mozilla Firefox. It is the best browser.

    www.mozilla.org

    It also has a built in pop up blocker and doesn't let in Active X controls. You don't get those popups on EP's main page.

    ^^ Listen to him. Firefox makes IE seem pathetic and useless...which it is.

    I used a program called MYIE2 and it is very good. I has built in Ad and pop-up filters, clean cache, blocked IP address, etc.
