There are also more kinds of modchips that work good. There is also a MAgic 3.1 and a MAgic V modchip.

Well all modchips or slide cards will damage your PS2 to a certain degree since the chip will degrade as time pass. So the best way is to buy the games.
But I am using a Magic V and I have a US V10 PS2 and it works like a charm.
They are hot, aren't they??
