    Straight From : http://www.tssznews.com/story.php?su...99591&archive=

Watch Impress recently took these pictures of the Mega Drive Play TV system that will be out in Japan, no word on a States or Europe release. The console will have 6 games playable and will not need cartridges, all you need to do is plug it into your TV and play. the console will also include Sonic The Hedgehog and Flicky.

16 Bit power indeed. I like the idea of this new console, im just wondering if you can put cartridges into it.

And the controller it sexy, im hoping they make a 6 button version of it.

Interesting - although the build quality of the unit itself makes me question as to whether its endorsed by Sega. Collectors aside, why would anyone pay for this when emulation for the system is nigh on perfect anyway? Tsk.

    yeah. how bout that, n00b.

this is stupid. 6 mega drive games. if this costs anything more than 10 quid, i will commit ritual suicide. god, why can't they let it use cartridges? or at least use a bigger memory chip. if a CD can hold 400 mega drive games, i'm sure they can make a memory chip to hold at least 100. but 6? god...

if the design's gonna stay the same, there should be different versions. like the sonic version, the racing version (try playing virtua racing on that teeny hunkashit), and etc. might be a good idea.

Ah, but see, this is probably the plan.

Keep releasing these babies packed with only 6 games each, and people will have to buy more to get the games we want. This equals cash for Sega.

This is a major money trap for people like myself who like kitschy things like this.
