Does 3DO still exist?

I don't remember, but I think 3DO is now defunct. Could someone put some light on the issue? As to why, if they did, close their doors (we all know they made some bad games, but some were good) What'll happen to their franchises like Heroes of Might and Magic and such. I know their site doesn't operate correctly so it leaves me to believe something happened

Oh ya i read about that in a magazine they went bankrupt but there games are still going to be made by diff companies they sold all their major titles.

Heh... Activision...? Yeah, their games have always been borderline decent... Nothing spectacular, though they did enjoy a nice little economic boost thanks to the Tony Hawk franchise...

I remember reading in a gaming mag about how they tried to sell all their major titles. I remember that this one dude is making a 3DO emulator. I forgot the name of it though.

Ahh yes 3DO i will miss high heat baseball this year but i read that it is being developed by another company for next year.

Yeah i think the army men games are the reason they went bankrupt in the first place. They made one half decent army man game and thought that it could be the next mario and nobody bought it. To bad.
